Here is a nice reference for the armor modeler who likes the
M47 Patton family of main battle tanks. This is a compilation
of the technical illustrations out of the tank's service manuals
showing where everything is and what each thing does.
You can see in these page examples that the AMS modeler can get
down into the bolt and washer detail for many of the vehicle's
details. Even though the M47 was the defender of NATO and was
used not only within the US Army, but throughout NATO and other
allies, the only kit to appear of this tank in 1/35 scale was
from Italeri (also appearing in Testor boxes). Matchbox also
issued one in 1/32 scale (also reissued by Revell).
With as many variations and marking options during its operational
service (including serving as the German Tiger tank in 'Battle
of the Bulge'), this title provides nice details to allow the modeler
to seriously update the Italeri or Matchbox kits into accurate
and detailed models. This is THE manual
for getting all of those details right.
This
title is available in electronically in Adobe Acrobat(tm) format.
You can purchase the CD for $9.99 or download it directly from
the publisher for only $3.99.
This title is available directly from the publisher at Dataview
