After seeing the Part 1 of this MiG-21 Walk Around, I was
waiting anxiously for Part 2 that would cover the late generation
Fishbeds. Once again, the author has compiled an interesting
array of photographs of most of the late model MiG-21s. As
with Part 1, there is a nice mix of color and black & white
photos of the Fishbed J, L, and N models.
There are some nice color profiles of the various late-model
Fishbeds also provided in this title which will interest modelers,
as there are a nice array of Soviet and foreign Fishbeds with
interesting camouflage schemes. The author has even collected
some interesting photos of updated MiG-21s with twin-rail AA-8
Aphid launchers and other interesting 'tweaks'.

I do hope that there is a part 3 in this series still waiting
to get published, as there are some holes in the coverage.
Part 1 provided nice coverage of the Fishbed C/E, D, F, and
Mogol A/B (trainers). Part 2, as mentioned above, picks up
with the Fishbed J, L and N. Together, we're missing some interesting
variants. The photo-reconnaissance MiG-21R Fishbed H, hump-backed
MiG-21 Fishbed K, the STOL prototype Fishbed G, and a closer
look at the refitted MiG-21s being flown today being updated
by a variety of companies from around the world. Of course,
we're also missing the Chinese-built J-7/F-7 also seeing service
around the world.
This is another nice release from Squadron/Signal Publications
and you'll definitely want to have this one on your shelf.
