Begemot Decals is an interesting decal company from Rostov-on-Don, Russia that offers a nice array of markings for Soviet and Russian aircraft. In this release, Begemot provides a super set of decals for the Russian Air Force red star national markings in the 2010 style. Let's take a look:
This set is produced on two sheets of decals. Begemot has taken an interesting approach to these markings as the standard Soviet/Russian red/white stars are printed separately from the blue outlines that overlay the inner star. While I am usually opposed to multilayer decals, this is an exception since you can use the basic red/white stars for any pre-2010 projects and add the blue outlines for current subjects. With the large quantity of stars in a variety of sizes, this is one set you'll want to have handy for all future Russian/Soviet AF projects!
Begemot Decals are now available with free shipping in the US from HobbyZone USA. For more information about this set and the other releases from Begemot Decals, visit their website at http://www.begemotdecals.ru.
My sincere thanks to Begemot Decals for this review sample!
