First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models, this time providing the first aftermarket decal options for the new Kinetic T-45 Goshawk kit. The basic set provides two very nice aircraft options, while those who purchase one of the first 200 sets will get a bonus set of markings for two Centennial of Naval Aviation aircraft. The markings in this set include:
- T-45C, 167099, VT-21/TW-2, Redhawks, B/321, NAS Kingsville, skipper's aircraft (2011 and 2012 options)
- T-45C, 165080, VX-23, SD/201, NAVAIR, NAS Patuxent River
- T-45C, 165598, TW-1, A/101, Centennial Bonus Markings
- T-45C, 163656, TW-2, B/200, Centennial Bonus Markings
The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) and provide national markings, distinctive unit markings, as well as aircraft identification markings, right down to correct data blocks for two complete aircraft. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.
