First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models, this time offering a nice selection of early UH-34 Seahorse exemples just in time for the recent Gallery Models kits though it will also work with the venerable Revell kit. What is nice with these three examples, there is no overlap with the kit decals as there are three distinctly different color schemes in this set.
The subjects covered in this set include:
- UH-34D, 149389, HT-8, 2E/141, NAS Ellyson Field, 1968
- UH-34D, 150208, VC-1, UA/23, NAS Barber's Point, 1973
- HH-34J, 149386, 304 ARRS, Portland OR, 1973
The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) and provide national markings, unit markings, as well as a nice set of airframe stencils. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.

My sincere thanks to Caracal Models for this review sample!
