First Look

Furball Aero-Design is back with a convenient alternative to masking and painting F-4 intake mouths. You'll remember the interesting set of red surrounds for the gear doors using decals instead of trying to achieve that level of perfection in paint? This time they're providing the intake interiors for the SEA Camo (high-visibility) aircraft with a selection of depths inside the intake to choose from (check your references to see how your subject was painted).

Simply apply the correct depth decals into the inside of your Academy F-4C/D and you'll have a sharp demarcation between the exterior camo and interior white intakes without the hassle of masking, painting, and touching up. Why dark green on the left and tan on the right? Look at this color profile that shows the standard paint scheme applied to USAF F-4s in Southeast Asia.

My sincere thanks to Furball Aero-Design for this review sample!
