First Look
Lifelike Decals from Japan turns out some colorful and nicely printed subjects. In this set, we have two distinctive Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb examples that will work with either the Hasegawa or Hobbyboss releases of the 1/32 Spitfire Mk.Vb and two for the Tamiya Spitfire Mk.XVI.
This decal set provides markings for four aircraft:
- Spitfire Mk.XVI, SL721, JMR, as flown by ACM Sir James Robb
- Spitfire Mk.Va, W3185, D-B, as flown by Wing Commander Douglas Bader
- Spitfire Mk.Vb, 4 FS/52 FG, WD-A, as flown by Flight Officer James Montgomery
- Spitfire Mk.XVI, TD248, BAC Aviation company aircraft
As you can see in the decal image, this set comes complete with a full set of national markings, distinctive unit markings, and a wealth of maintenance stencils. If you're looking for a colorful alternative that isn't from the mainstream Superscale/Eagle Strike/Aeromaster line-up, here is a nice way to be different!
You can purchase these decals directly from Lifelike Decals. My sincere thanks to Lifelike Decals for this review sample!
