First Look
Starfighter Decals has released this interesting set of P-26 Peashooters in 1/48 scale perfect for the Academy or Hobbycraft releases of their 1/48 scale kits. These markings provide a nice cross-section of the colors worn by these early Army Air Corps monoplane fighters.
This decal set provides markings for four aircraft:
- P-26A, 33-47, 73 PS, March Field, CA
- P-26A, 33-62, 95 PS, March Field, CA
- P-26A, 33-77, Bolling Field, DC
- P-26A, 33-23, 20 PG, Barksdale Field, LA
This sheet provides sufficient stencils and national markings for one aircraft. The instructions are in color and will also help identify some of the subtle color and detail variations for each of these subjects.
You can purchase these decals directly from Starfighter Decals on their website.
My sincere thanks to Starfighter Decals for this review sample!
