First Look
When HK Models recently released their magnificent 1/32 B-25J Mitchell kit, one issue became visible right away - the shape of the propeller blades. AMS Resin stepped right up and fixed the problem with this set. If you look below, one of the kit's blades is at the bottom of the photo in light gray plastic versus AMS Resin's revised blades in medium gray resin. Better, eh?
You can see in the photo that the resin blades will plug into the kit's prop hubs for self-alignment. Looking up in the upper right, you see the kit's crank case cover, which is a different shape than the covers used on the B-25. AMS Resin fixes this with a new pair of crank covers that are also drop-in fit replacements.
Kudos to AMS Resin for getting these parts out to market so quickly and making it possible to build up the (not inexpensive) HK Models' kit right the first time. You can purchase this set from Sprue Brothers.
My sincere thanks to AMS Resin for this review sample!
