First Look
I recently became aware of a new hobby company in Germany called Anyz and they are showing off the future of scale modeling with a series of detail parts that are high-resolution 3D-printed. Where some aftermarket companies will 3D-print a master mold and then cast products from there, each of these sets come straight from the printer so each set features sharp details ready to go to work.
In this release, we have ten different styles and sizes of typical cockpit dials and knobs that are sized for 1/32 and 1/35 scale projects. There are a total of 200 parts in this set and if you're looking for other styles of knobs, look at Part 2 here. I've seen a few cockpits that have been transformed with parts from this series and the results are stunning. Anyz also produces several sets of stencil decal sets printed in black or white which provide a stunning compliment to these sets. Take a side console in a cockpit or a radio face in a combat vehicle, shave off the softly molded details, drill a locating hole for each knob or dial, paint the base color, add the appropriate decal stencil, paint each knob or dial, and insert it into the locating hole. You can create a beautiful replica of an ARC-210 in an F-16 cockpit or a SINCGARS in a HUMVEE, or any number of other systems that will greatly enhance the look of your projects. Given the small size of each part, these sets are recommended for the experienced modeler that wants to transform their model beyond what the other aftermarket companies can currently offer. Check this set out at the HobbyZone USA website and they offer each set! For the rest of the world, Anyz products are available here.
My sincere thanks to HobbyZone USA for this review sample!
