First Look

Barracuda Studios produces a growing line of resin details under the BarracudaCast brand to compliment their BarracudaCals decal line. This release is a comprehensive cockpit detail set for the new Airfix Sea Fury kit. Actually, this set replaces the kit cockpit completely and provides some very nice details for the front office.

Hawker Sea Fury Complete Cockpit

This set provides a beautifully cast cockpit, replicates virtually all of the details inside the cockpit, and provides a set of decal instrument faces to populate the nicely cast panel. This set also provides you with two pilot's seats - one with pilot restraints cast into place, the other with only the lap belts. This set even includes two types of headrest armor, flare pistol, nice throttle quadrant, canopy rails, and more. The instructions are nicely illustrated to show where everything goes as well as the modifications to the fuselage halves needed (like scraping out the molded-on details).

While this set is designed to fit the Airfix kit, the instructions indicate that it can be adapted to fit the Falcon, Hobbycraft, AMG, and Trumpeter kits.

My sincere thanks to Barracuda Studios for this review sample!
