First Look
Barracuda Studios produces a growing line of resin details under the BarracudaCast brand to compliment their BarracudaCals decal line. This release is a simple upgrade/fix for the Airfix 1/48 Sea Fury kit. While the kit is overall nicer than previous Sea Fury kits in this scale, the spinner shape was too blunt and threw off the lines of the aircraft. This set replaces the front end of the cowing and includes a new engine face and propeller spinner.
While this set is a drop-in replacement for the kit parts, Barracuda Studios suggests using their set 48350 with this set. 48350 provides a simple cowling which replaces the fidgety multipiece cowling in the kit.
