First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
In this release, Eduard makes good use of their color printing capabilities with the creation of a variety of cellular phones. Produced in 1/24th scale, these are just the subtle additions to a figure or model that brings the model to life. While you won't find an iPhone or Blackberry in this batch, you will find a variety of familiar phone styles and colors.
This set provides a nice selection of printed phones, blank phone shapes (in case you don't like the phones that you do see) and even holsters to put on the belts of your figures.
This is a subtle little detail that will take your car, aircraft, or whatever subject in 1/24th scale and bring it squarely into the 21st Century.
You should be able to find this detail set at your local hobby retailer or one of the many online hobby shops. Trust me, thisis worth looking for!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
