As you know, Eduard produces a wide range of aftermarket detail sets for aircraft, armor, and ship kits. When a new and noteworthy kit is released, Eduard will usually follow within a few months with one or more detail sets to enhance that kit. When Kitty Hawk released its 1/32 F-86D Sabre Dog kit, Eduard soon followed with several nice enhancement sets. Here's the Seatbelt Set, let's take a look:
This set consists of one fret of photo-etched parts and one laser-cut fabric sheet. The fabric sheet is color-printed for the strap color. The fret provides the buckles and hardware. This set should assemble easier than the comparable photo-etched strap version as the fabric is more flexible and there isn't paint to be scraped off the straps as you're threading the buckles into place.
This is another nice enhancement that will be easy to install in the Kitty Hawk kit and help add additional fidelity to that nice kit. Using this set with the other releases from Eduard will raise the level of detail in this kit to a higher level. You can easily use this set with the Hasegawa or Kinetic 1/32 F-86F kits as well.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
