First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
In this release, Eduard has produced an extensive exterior detail set for any of the Italeri 1/35 HEMTT releases including the M977 cargo truck, M978 tanker, and M985 gun truck kits. This set includes three frets of photo-etched details and nine pages of instructions.
As you can see in the image above, this set lots of small details around the chassis but also updates the brackets and mounts and even replaces the storage box, exhaust muffler shield, and spare tire carrier with much nicer detailed assemblies. Of course there are details provided for the cab exterior as well including upgrades to windshield wipers, rear view mirrors, radiator grille, etc. This set compliments two other sets released for these kits including a cab interior detail set and an armament set.
At long last we have a nice set of details to dress up the HEMTT kits that have been on the market for some time plus the recently released gun truck. Thank you Eduard!
