First Look

IAB-500 Nuclear Bomb Simulator Round

Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Brassin is a play on words with Brass and Resin, and in many sets in this series, the resin details also include a set of photo-etched parts as well.

In this release, Eduard has produced an interesting training weapon for their MiG-21 kits. This is the IAB-500 training round that contains an interesting pyrotechnic mix that will simulate a nuclear mushroom cloud on impact/detonation. The shape is distinctive and will definitely look interesting suspended from your MiG-21 (or any other tactical fighter aircraft from the Soviet/Warsaw Pact).

You should be able to find this detail set at your local hobby retailer or one of the many online hobby shops.

Recommended for experienced modelers!

My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
