First Look
Fisher Model and Pattern has been expanding its range of kits and aftermarket detail sets with many of the recent releases benefiting from the three-dimensional printing technology. This set is one of those offerings which allow for the wheels and wheel hubs to be modeled in detail using a computer-aided drawing design package, and then masters are printed using the 3D print system. Once the masters are approved, molds are made and parts are ready for your next project.
This set represents the two main wheels and nose wheel for the 1/32 F-105 Thunderchief including the distinctive tire tread pattern. This set simply replaces the kit parts in the Trumpeter 1/32 F-105D or F-105G releases (will work with both kits) and will also be applicable should you have an aftermarket F-105B conversion as well.
The casting is spot-on and the crisp detailing of the bolts and hub detail as well as the tread pattern in the tires is evident and really shows what this next wave of detail production can achieve.
My sincere thanks to Fisher Model and Pattern for this review sample!
