Fisher Model and Pattern has been expanding its range of kits and aftermarket detail sets with many of the recent releases benefiting from the three-dimensional printing technology. This set is one of those offerings which allow for the wheels and wheel hubs to be modeled in detail using a computer-aided drawing design package, and then masters are printed using the 3D print system. Once the masters are approved, molds are made and parts are ready for your next project.
This set represents the two main wheels and nose wheel for the Trumpeter 1/32 single-seat Su-25 or two-seat Su-25UB Frogfoot (Grach) kits.
The casting is spot-on and the broad tires, fine tread patterin and even the ventillation holes in the wheels are all nicely captured. This set is a drop-in replacement for the kit's plastic wheel hubs and vinyl tires.
