First Look
LionMarc must have some really interesting machining capabilities. At first glance at the package, you might not realize what you're looking at, but in this small package, there are 100 0.9mm screwheads. Each screwhead has a smaller shaft and the classic slot on the top of the head for a flat-head screwdriver.
So what on earth would you use something like this for? I'm sure that LionMarc had a specific application for these screwheads, but it was normal to have screw heads visible in the surface of armor plate, whether to mount bolt-on armor plates (before they're also welded) or to bolt equipment racks to the inside of a turret, engine access panels, etc. Doing the math, a .9mm screw head translates to a 31.5mm (1.24 inch) screwhead in 1/35 scale or 43.2mm (1.7 inch) screwhead in 1/48 scale.
This set provides a 0.9mm drill bit so you can drill out the screw holes for flush-mounting the screw heads.
My sincere thanks to Wings n Treads ( www.wingsntreads.com) for this review sample. Check out the other LionMarc as well as other cool aftermarket products that they carry!
