First Look
MAW-Decals has released another nice resin conversion, this time for the Hasegawa 1/48 F/A-18A-D Hornet kits. This kit allows you to update the Hasegawa (or other 1/48 F/A-18A-D kits) to reflect the updates being applied to the Hornet. While many of the updated Hornets are easily recognizable by the bird-cutter IFF antennas ahead of the windscreen, a number of Hornets were updated sans the IFF.
Molded in white resin, this five-part set provides the new swept UHF antennas, GPS dome antenna, and corrected nosegear doors. While the doors are tailored for the Hasegawa kit, this set can be easily applied to any 1/48 F/A-18A, F/A-18B, F/A-18C, and F/A-18D kit.
