First Look
There's a new company coming onto the aftermarket scene like gangbusters. This company is called Quickboost out of the Czech Republic, and in a short period of time, they've turned out dozens of very nice looking resin details sets.
In this case, here are a pair of machine gun barrels that are literally drop-in replacements for the kit barrels in Hasegawa's new-tool Fw 190A-8. Take a close look at that detailing! Those cooling holes in the cooling jackets really pop out and add additional visual details with no effort.
This set is definitely a 'no-brainer' for the Luftwaffe modeler who wants more detail with little or no effort. I mark the skill level of this release at basic as all you have to do is carefully remove the resin parts from the mold blocks just as you would with styrene, and use a small drop of cyano to mount them. That's it!
My sincere thanks to Design & Marketing International for this review sample!
