Scale Aircraft Conversions (SAC) produces an impressive array of white metal replacement landing gear for a variety of models. Some of these sets correct different issues that appeared in production kits, while others are simple common sense replacements to have stronger landing gear on your model.
This release provides something a little different. This is the D-704 Aerial Refueling Store that was used on US Navy A-1 Skyraiders, A-4 Skyhawks, A-6 Intruders, and A-7 Corsair II to provide top-off fuel for strike aircraft after launch or for thirsty aircraft entering the marshall stack to await their turn to trap back aboard. This pod shouldn't be confused with the Aerial Refueling Store used by the S-3 Viking and F/A-18 Hornet/Super Hornet today.
This set consists of a resin pod with nice details though a little clean-up will be require around the master's seamline. The ram air turbine (RAT) is cast in white metal. A set of pod stencils is included with a photo-copied instruction sheet for decal placement.
