First Look
SBS Model produces an impressive array of aftermarket detail sets for a variety of popular kits and subjects. Their online store is nicely laid out to show the variety of cockpits, propeller sets, ejection seats, and more that are available directly from their site.
This release is designed to super-detail the Italeri refueling truck, the 1/48 scale Kfz.385 Tankwagen. This set provides a resin insert to open up the pump bay behind the driver and provide some nice details inside the bay as well as a replacement bay door. The set also provides solder (soft wire) to provide hose details for the exterior racks (also included). The set is rounded out with photo-etched details for the cab including a new dash board and driver's pedals inside. Outside cab details include windshield wipers, mirrors, and even an Opel logo for the radiator.
