First Look
Mark's Models (Starfighter Decals) produces the EZ Rigging line which is a brilliant way to solve the biplane rigging challenges for modelers. Years ago, Accurate Miniatures provided photo-etched rigging for their 1/48 F3F kits which was similar in design to this set and each wire set simply snapped into molded-in recesses in the kit wings and fuselage. Tamiya did the same thing with their 1/48 Swordfish as an optional set.
With this set, the instructions show you how to apply these parts to the Hasegawa kit and then you simply remove each section, clean off the stubs, and put them into place with cyano. This set also includes a set of 100lb bomb racks as well.
If you're looking for easy rigging options for your 1/72 biplane projects, check out this and other rigging sets from EZ Rigging.
You can purchase this detail set directly from Mark's Models on their website.
My sincere thanks to Mark's Models for this review sample!
