First Look
Sunix Hobbies from Australia produces an interesting array of diorama and vignette display bases. Unlike bases from other manufacturers though, these come pre-painted, pre-weathered, and ready to work.
This display base for example, consists of a 12cm x 12cm (4.7" x 4.7") base, stretch of dirt road that had a picket fence and the corner of a ruined hut on one side. Like the other display bases in this series, the base is pre-finished in four color schemes:
- Autumn Version (this one)
- Desert Version
- Summer Version
- Winter Version

Check out the detail and finish of this simple display base and imagine it as the backdrop for your Zundapp, Kubelwagen, an infantry team taking a rest, or other vignette that would come to life on this display base. There is even enough space on the other side of the fence for another figure to enhance the visual story.
Actually, this display base comes with your choice of two fence styles, the picket fence above, or the rail fence shown below. One provides cover for an enemy figure in hiding whle the other provides a good all-round view of your story.
