Moebius Models is back with another installment in the new Battlestar Gallactica series. This time we have one of the sinister-looking Cylon Raiders that replaced the three-place craft from the original series. This time the robot and the spacecraft are one, with the trademark red scanning eye as part of the sleek head-shaped fairing on the center of the craft.

The kit is molded in light gray styrene and presented on four parts trees, plus a single tree of clear parts for the optional display stand. You can see in the images as well as in the instructions that this is really a simple build and can be a simple paint job. If you look on the box art though, you'll see that you might just spend more time painting than building this model in order to replicate that great-looking weathering on the hull.

This will make for a simple weekend project when you want something a little different to build. Painting may take a little longer, depending on how far you want to go with the finish, but you can see that it will make for a nice addition to your spacecraft collection.

My sincere thanks to Moebius Models for this review sample!
