First Look

Furball Aero-Design produces a nice variety of aftermarket decal sets, and now they've addressed another useful area - paint masks. Here is one of their first releases, a mask set for the Hasegawa 1/48 F/A-18E Super Hornet and they've done something a bid different. This set provides paint masks that are die-cut from black vinyl to outline the canopy and windscreen of the Hasegawa F/A-18E (you'll need a liquid mask or other medium to blank off the rest of the canopy). In addition, there are wheel hub masks and something I've never see before - masks for the gun muzzle and pizza box IFF system.

I've got several Super Hornet projects waiting now that there are some great aftermarket subjects available that I've been waiting for and this mask set will help speed up the paint process. They've released a number of masks in this first increment so stop by their website (link below) and see what projects they can help you with.

My sincere thanks to Furball Aero-Design for this review sample!
