Review

Here is the latest from Accion Press Modelismo - Issue 55 of Panzer Aces. This is their Panzer Papers special edition featuring interesting techniques to expand your building and finishing skills. The in-depth build, painting and weathering articles in this issue include:

  • Waffentrager Krupp Steyr - 1/35 Trumpeter
  • E-25 - 1/35 Trumpeter
  • Maus - 1/35 Dragon
  • E-100 - 1/35 Trumpeter
  • Waffentrager Ardelt - 1/35 Trumpeter
  • Modeling Lessons: Painting Tracks

The subjects in this issue look at paper projects, the armor equivalent of the "Luft-46" interest groups that examine what might have been had the war extended another year (or so). Some of these subjects reflect the new vehicles produced under nominal production conditions while two look at tanks that are rushed off the line with little more than primer applied before entering the battle.

These Panzer Aces series are must-have references for the armor modeler, whether you're a novice or a master, these issues provide the clear visual how-to techniques which can teach or enhance your own skills. What is also enjoyable with these titles is that they are some of the few left that are not full of advertisements, only the inside cover and rear cover carry ads, the rest is all golden content. You're going to want this in your library!

Definitely recommended!

My sincere thanks to Accion Press for this review sample!
