Review

Classic Warships has released another in a series of warship pictorial books, this time after an accumulation of years of research and networking Steve Wiper has put together in one volume of USN Battleships in Color.

USN Battleships

This book is jam packed from bow to stern with original Kodachrome picture quality photographs, with colors being very true. The color photos begin around late 1940 and progress to 1946, color photos progress from images of the USS New Mexico to the Battleship Missouri. Again excellent photos depict the color camouflages and colors used during this time period. Even a nice color photo of then President Truman aboard the destroyer Renshaw is found within this book.

All color photos reproduced have been painstakingly cleaned up of dust, scratches and fingerprints from the original negatives, to provide you with the highest quality photographs.

If you’re looking for a book that depicts true USN Battleship colors then this book is a must have! For the price it’s truly a bargain too.

I definitely recommend this book.

Thanks goes out to Steve Wiper of www.classicwarships.com for the review sample.
